Dear friends,
I’m no longer regularly writing for Dubious Analogies, but I recently checked in and noticed that a few people have found this publication in 2025. I’m now permanently at Sigh No More, writing about Shakespeare, literature and culture. If you’re subscribed here, you are not automatically subscribed to Sigh No More—I didn’t want to presume upon your interest—but I’d love to have you on board.
There are lots of similarities in my new work to what I was writing here: longtime readers of Dubious Analogies will be able to trace my usual tendency to connect things that don’t seem connected. One of the most obvious examples of this is my recent piece on Hamlet and Chappell Roan, which I’m sharing here in case you’d like to take a look. If you enjoy it, I’d love it if you considered subscribing to Sigh No More.
I’ll be touching base occasionally (less than once a month) to share a highlight, so if you’re interested, stay tuned—and if not, no worries if you need to hit unsubscribe.
All the best and thanks for your support; it means more than you can know!
Yours,
Emily
